Keyboard shortcuts

Every shortcut in Raven, grouped the way the app groups them.

The full list is also in Settings › Keybindings (⌘/), which is the authoritative one — it reads the live bindings from the app.

Workspaces and tabs

Action Shortcut
New Workspace ⌘N
New Workspace in Dialog ⌘⇧N
New Tab ⌘T
Add Project… ⌘O
Pin the new workspace (on the New Workspace page or dialog) ⌘⇧P
Pick a tab kind (in the new-tab menu) 1–3

⌘N opens a new workspace draft in the center: the chat composer with a row of pills above it — the project, Local / Worktree, and the branch — plus a pin toggle, and your first message starts the workspace. ⌘⇧N opens the same composer as a dialog over whatever you’re looking at. ⌘T opens a new chat straight away; with Claude Code and Codex tabs turned on in Settings › Chats it opens a menu instead, where a bare digit picks Chat, Claude, or Codex — so ⌘T then 1 is a new chat without touching the mouse.

Chat

Action Shortcut
Focus Chat Input ⌘I
Cycle mode (in the composer) ⇧Tab
Send / new line Enter / ⇧Enter
Stop the running turn (in the composer) Esc Esc
Cancel an edit, or clear the board selection Esc
Find in conversation ⌘F
Action Shortcut
Go to File ⌘P
Search in Files ⌘⇧F
Next Unread Tab, Workspace, or Pinned Workspace ⌘⇧U
Designs ⌘⇧B
Archive ⌘⇧A

Designs opens the designs hub; Archive opens the Settings › Archive page.

Panels

Action Shortcut
Toggle Left Sidebar ⌘B
Toggle Right Panel ⌘.
Show Files ⌘E
Show Changes ⌘D
Show Context Library ⌘⇧E
Show Design ⌘⇧D
Show Browser ⌘⇧W
Show Simulator ⌘⇧S

The Show shortcuts always show their surface and never toggle it. ⌘. hides the panel, or brings back whichever surface was showing last.

Terminal

Action Shortcut
Focus Terminal ⌘J
Toggle Terminal ⌘⇧J
New Terminal ⌘`
Cycle Terminal ⌘⇧`
Run ⌘R
Clear terminal (while focused) ⌘K
Select all (while focused) ⌘A
New line in a terminal (while focused) ⇧Enter

⌘J and ⌘⇧J are two different verbs, not one toggle: ⌘J puts your cursor in the terminal, showing it if needed (the way ⌘I does for the composer), while ⌘⇧J shows and hides it. ⌘R presses the header’s Run button: the project’s run command starts in the workspace’s run terminal, which comes to the front. It does nothing until the project has a run command.

Settings and help

Action Shortcut
Settings ⌘,
Keyboard Shortcuts ⌘/
Send Feedback ⌘⌥F

Esc also closes Settings, the file search, the New Workspace dialog, and the feedback dialog (which takes screenshots: paste or drop up to three images into it). The New Workspace page is a view of its own: leave it by picking a workspace or a view in the sidebar.

Shortcuts are matched before the page sees the key, so they work the same with your cursor in the composer, a file in the editor, or a terminal — ⌘B toggles the sidebar rather than bolding text, and holding a key fires it once.
